Terms of Service
Effective Date: May 24, 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the ContractParser.ai website and document analysis service ("Service") operated by GroveStreams, Inc. ("Company," "we," "us," or "our"). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. Service Description
ContractParser.ai is an AI-powered document analysis service. You upload documents (PDFs, Word files, text files, images, and other supported formats), select extraction criteria, and receive structured analysis results. The Service uses artificial intelligence to extract and summarize information from your documents.
2. No Legal, Financial, or Professional Advice
The Service does not provide legal, financial, accounting, or any other professional advice. Analysis results are generated by artificial intelligence and may contain errors, omissions, or inaccuracies. You must independently verify all results before relying on them for any business, legal, or financial decision. The Service is a tool to assist with document review — it is not a substitute for professional review by qualified attorneys, accountants, or other professionals.
3. Accounts and Payment
- You may use the Service with or without creating an account.
- Pricing is on a per-page basis as displayed at the time of upload. Prices may change at any time; the price shown before payment is the price you pay.
- Page counting: For PDF files, pages are counted using the actual page count in the document. For non-PDF files (Word documents, text files, HTML, and other text-based formats), pages are estimated at approximately 3,000 characters per page, with a minimum of 1 page per file. Images are counted as 1 page each. ZIP archives are counted as the sum of all supported files contained within. The page count and total price are displayed before payment so you can review before proceeding.
- Minimum charge: A tiered minimum applies per transaction. Small batches of 10 pages or fewer are subject to a $0.50 minimum (intended for iteration on a sample). Larger batches are subject to a $2.00 minimum. The exact minimum for your batch is displayed before payment.
- Multiple runs on the same batch: After a run completes you may re-run the same uploaded documents with different field selections, custom prompts, or tiers. Each run is a separate transaction charged independently per the pricing displayed before that run.
- All payments are processed securely through Stripe, Inc. We do not store your credit card information.
- Billing: Your payment method is authorized at the time of checkout but you are only charged for documents that are successfully analyzed. If some documents fail to process, the charge is reduced proportionally. If all documents fail, no charge is made. If processing fails entirely due to a technical issue on our side, the authorization is released and no charge is made.
4. Your Documents and Data
- Ownership: You retain all rights to your uploaded documents. We claim no ownership or license to your content beyond what is necessary to provide the Service.
- Temporary Processing: Uploaded documents are stored temporarily on our servers solely for the purpose of analysis. Uploaded documents are automatically deleted within 2 hours after processing completes. Extracted results (CSV and results view) remain downloadable for 24 hours; if an email address was provided, a CSV copy is delivered as an attachment for your own retention.
- No Training: Your documents are not used to train AI models. They are sent to Anthropic's Claude API for analysis under Anthropic's commercial API terms, which prohibit training on customer data.
- Optional Pre-flight Field Suggestion: If you choose the “Auto-suggest fields” feature, the first document in your batch is sent to Anthropic's Claude API before the main extraction in order to generate a tailored field selection for your batch. The same temporary-processing, no-training, and confidentiality terms apply to this pre-flight call as to the main extraction.
- Confidentiality: We treat your documents as confidential. We do not share, sell, or disclose your documents or results to any third party other than our AI processing provider (Anthropic) as necessary to deliver the Service.
5. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Upload documents you do not have the right to analyze
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
- Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or extract source code from the Service
- Interfere with or disrupt the Service's infrastructure
- Use automated means to access the Service beyond normal browser interaction
- Upload documents containing malware, viruses, or malicious code
6. Accuracy and Limitations
AI-generated analysis is probabilistic, not deterministic. Results may contain:
- Incorrect dates, amounts, or extracted values
- Missed clauses or terms
- Misinterpretation of ambiguous language
- Errors in documents that are poorly scanned, handwritten, or in non-standard formats
- Inaccurate source citations. When the optional source-citations feature is enabled, each extracted value is returned with a page number and a verbatim quote intended to support it. These citations are themselves AI-generated and may be incorrect — including but not limited to: a wrong page number, a paraphrased rather than verbatim quote, a quote that does not in fact support the extracted value, or a fabricated quote that does not appear in the document. A citation is an aid to verification, not a warranty that the cited value is correct.
- Inaccurate audit-pass output. When the Verified tier is selected, a second AI pass produces confidence scores and narrative flags intended to surface inconsistencies in the extracted data. This audit output is itself AI-generated and may contain both false positives (flagging issues that are not in fact problems) and false negatives (failing to flag real issues). The hedged language used in audit flags (e.g., “appears inconsistent,” “may indicate,” “warrants human verification”) reflects this uncertainty; the audit pass is a screening tool, not a determination of error.
- Inaccurate field suggestions. When the Auto-suggest fields feature is used, the suggested set of fields is AI-generated based on the first uploaded document and may be incomplete or inappropriate for other documents in your batch. You are responsible for reviewing and adjusting field selections before paying for and running an extraction.
We do not warrant that results, source citations, audit flags, or field suggestions are accurate, complete, or suitable for any particular purpose. You assume all risk associated with using the results. You must independently verify all extracted values, citations, and audit determinations before relying on them for any business, legal, or financial decision.
7. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE COMPANY SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, BUSINESS OPPORTUNITIES, OR GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.
OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING FROM THESE TERMS OR YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO US IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.
8. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Company and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your infringement of any third party's rights.

11. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without cause, with or without notice. You may stop using the Service at any time. Upon termination, your uploaded documents are deleted in accordance with our 2-hour retention policy; extracted results are deleted within 24 hours.
12. Modifications
We may update these Terms at any time. Changes take effect when posted. Your continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms. We will indicate the effective date at the top of this page.
13. Governing Law and Disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Minnesota, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Hennepin County, Minnesota. You agree to submit to the personal jurisdiction of such courts.
14. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
